C.A. brings 16 years of experience in office management, bookkeeping, and human resources to this position.  Her strengths lie in her ability to organize, see the big picture, and break it down into manageable components. Her life experience, education, and previous work history add up to a well-rounded, competent, and reliable member of our team. Prior to joining Milligan, C.A. held positions in the legal and accounting fields, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Studies.

Emily Baun

Budget and Event Manager

Emily Baun

Emily Baun holds a B.A. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from University of Massachusetts and joins the Milligan team as a newly-minted Certified Meeting Planner.  With more than 9 years in the tourism and hospitality industries, Emily has cultivated strong professional relationships and a broad base of experience from which to draw. Most recently, in her capacity as an Event Manager at the USS Midway Museum, Emily collaborated with the sales and event teams in securing and delivering more than 200 events per year. During this time, she was directly responsible for venue planning, budgeting, and inventory management, as well as hiring, training and motivating teams of 30 or more. Eager to grow her aptitude for corporate events, and a steadfast problem solver, Emily is that team member who is never satisfied with the status quo and always striving to streamline processes and increase efficiency, guided always by the ultimate measure of success – the Client Experience.

Erin VandenDries

Event Coordinator

Erin VandenDries

An up and coming event professional, Erin is eager to expand her events experience with Milligan.. She has worked in many industries, including technology, music, and hospitality which have afforded her the opportunity to be involved in functions ranging from small, intimate corporate meetings, to large scale trade shows, to 80,000-person music festivals. With a solid background in food and beverage, she has extensive knowledge of menus, budgeting, and customer service. She has an eye for detail, enjoys collaborating with a team to create the best events possible and is excited put her passion for the craft to work.

JaMee King

JaMee King

JaMee is a talented Information Technology professional with extensive project management experience. She comes to Milligan after 16 years at Micron Technology, where she advanced from being a software engineer designing applications to various process assessment, analysis, and improvement roles. Through this progression, JaMee honed her ability to quickly identify and deliver on the end user’s objectives, requirements and, in many cases, wish lists. As a project manager, JaMee delivered large scale global programs such as SharePoint, Email and Skype for Business. Her strength truly lies in her ability to strategize, coordinate details, execute on a timeline, and manage within established budgets.

Janell McGill

Janell McGill

Behind every great team is a great leader, and Milligan is no exception. Principal Janell McGill’s expertise in financial services, accounts payable, payroll and business consulting give her a real gift for leadership. A team member recently called her “a master at balancing the day-to-day who understands and plans for the long term.”

Janell joined Milligan in 2003, becoming owner in 2008. Her many roles include client relationship management, business development and contract negotiations. From answering phones to late night coffee runs, she’s no slacker when it comes to everyday duties either.

How does Janell see Milligan? “We’re a collection of the meeting industry’s best talent and we’re incredibly selective in who works with us.” Our team is collaborative in spirit and works undeniably hard. Just one element in the team’s thoughtful planning: the walk-through. “We walk every venue as we plan. Jennifer Jones

Jennifer Jones

Jennifer is creative, self-motivated, and thrives in high-pressure environments. Over the past 15 years she has managed a slew of successful corporate and nonprofit events–festivals, galas, media and promotional events, C-Level summits and much more. Jennifer is also an expert in budget management, having overseen annual budgets up to $5 million.

Katharina Koehler

Katharina Koehler

Katharina is an expert who brings experience partnering with a wide range of clients in the strategic, tactical & operational planning of events; she is results-driven with strong project management and budgeting skills.   Prior to joining Milligan Events, Katharina worked at SH Worldwide and Gartner, Inc., where she successfully implemented event goals and strategies while setting event standards.  She worked with senior leadership to create content and event promotion strategy, and she built a team planning and executing over 50 annual events.  Her event career started at Harvard Law School where she was the lead planner for international Symposia that brought together faculty, politicians and business leaders from China, Japan, Europe and the U.S.

Kellee is known for consistently exceeding expectations. She has enhanced events ranging from intimate executive-level conferences to large tradeshows, galas and inaugural parties. She’s an expert in food and beverage management–her menu plans are creative and cost-effective. Her recipe: exceptional time management, attention to detail and, above all, passion for her work.

Kris Monro

With more than 18 years of event management experience, Kris is strategic, detailed and has immense integrity.  Kris has managed events ranging in size from 50 to 10,000 attendees, as well as managed registration for events with as many as 10,000. A detailed and budget-conscious member of the Milligan planning team, Kris is very strategic in her planning and management methodologies. She’s attuned to the dynamics of shifting planning cycles, and thrives when problem-solving on the go. She is well organized and her prior 13 years of Microsoft employee event experience gives her an unmatched understanding of a corporate client's needs (and constraints).

Morgan's event experience spans a variety of industries in the technology, finance, manufacturing and government fields. Her areas of expertise include program development, tradeshow production, sales meetings, evening events and large-scale technology conferences.  As a results-oriented team member, she excels in project management, program efficiency, oversight and strategy and is a seasoned program manager who demonstrates high achievement in program development, expansion and supervision.

Shelly is an executive leader with diversified experience marketing to a broad array of consumers and small businesses. She displays a proven ability to develop and implement marketing strategies that achieve business goals and deepen customer relationships. Recognized for positive team-driven leadership that maximizes financial returns, Shelly excels at planning and delivering innovative marketing solutions.

Prior to joining Milligan Events, Shelly spent more than ten years in the financial services industry with JP Morgan Chase and Washington Mutual, focused primarily on national marketing initiatives for the consumer and small business segments.

Throughout her career, Shelly has lead new marketing programs that utilize unique events at both the national and local level to increase brand awareness, grow customer base, and increase revenues.

Shelly holds a BA in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing; and an MBA from the University of Washington.

Tarena Shanaberger

Tarena Shanaberger

With more than 13 years’ experience Tarena truly understands the importance of creating attendee experiences that align with business goals, client culture and values.   She is an experienced, highly creative and results-driven professional who is a master at elevating the attendee experience.  Her innate ability to cultivate relationships with key decision makers encourages collaboration across the planning landscape.  Tarena has managed budgets from $5,000 to $8,000,000, both domestically and internationally, and she does it all with the underlying goal of bringing the greatest event success, value, and benefit to the Client.  Tarena is also one to advocate for processes that streamline efficiency and create consistency, while consistently exceeding client expectations. 

Occupying that sweet spot between the artistic and the analytical, she is not only able to envision the goal with entrepreneurial passion, drive and vision but also able to plot the course to achieve it because she understands the challenges, complexities and opportunities associated with large scale events.

Tarena holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with minors in Advertising and Business Administration.

Therese Solimeno

For over 20 years, Therese has used her creative talent, fun-loving nature, and resourcefulness to translate program strategy into high-impact, memorable events for any audience.  After earning a Master’s Degree in Communications and Advertising, Therese established her own event marketing business, where she managed a variety of large & small conferences, trade shows and other events for Microsoft, Apple, Showtime, Chevrolet and many Fortune 500 companies. She later worked as Senior Global Events Manager for Microsoft, managing all aspects of events including strategy, theme, marketing, logistics, staging & production, product launch activities, executive meetings, partner & developer programs, and sponsorships for international and domestic events.
